Answering your most common questions.
Is a spotter required at the policy covered hole?
Yes, a spotter is required on the prize hole to verify a hole-in-one. The spotter must be at least 18 years old and not participating in the tournament. Two spotters are often required for prize amounts over $35,000.
Can we have more than one policy covered hole at my tournament?
Policies do not work in combination unless approved. If you would like to have more than one policy covered hole at your tournament, please contact us.
Can I have pros participate in my tournament?
Most often professional golfers are not eligible for prize amounts, unless specifically stated on the insurance certificate. Please contact us to discuss your options.
Are multiple rounds or partial rounds eligible for prizing?
No, only the first round of play is eligible for prizing unless stated on the insurance certificate. Winners must complete an entire round and have a completed scorecard.
What group size is required?
Groups must contain a minimum of three people.
Can we alter rules of play or move tee boxes?
No, golfers must play from standard tees and all RCGA rules apply, including to equipment. No adjustment to tees allowed such as artificial tees, and or greens.
Can players attempt a second shot at the hole-in-one?
In no way can a second shot win (e.g. mulligan or player taking a shot for a fourth player who is not there).
