Answering your most common questions.
Who is insured under my off-road vehicle liability policy?
The person who applies for the insurance (the insured) and anyone with a valid driver’s licence operating their off road vehicle, with consent from the insured.
Is aftermarket equipment covered?
Yes – aftermarket equipment will be covered if it’s attached to your vehicle and its value is included in the insurance limit purchased. We recommend you retain receipts from the original purchase and keep photos of the added equipment. After the vehicle is 2-years old, aftermarket equipment is covered at 50% of value.
What happens if my off-road vehicle is a total loss as a result of an insured incident?
The vehicle is insured for Agreed Value, the amount shown on your policy for your ATV, snowmobile or dirtbike. In the event of a total loss, you will receive the amount shown on the policy. Your physical damage deductible will be charged, but no deductions will be taken for depreciation. For example, if your ATV, snowmobile or dirtbike is insured for $12,000 and is a total loss, you will receive $12,000 if you intend to purchase a replacement vehicle.
