CALGARY, July 11, 2024 — Acera Insurance Services Ltd. is pleased to announce its newest partner, Jacobi Brien Insurance of Nova Scotia.
This deal marks Acera Insurance’s first location in Atlantic Canada, officially expanding the independent brokerage’s footprint from coast to coast to coast. Acera Insurance has more than 60 locations across the country, from Victoria, BC, to Whitehorse, YT, and now to the greater Halifax area.

While Jacobi Brien Insurance first opened its doors in Lower Sackville, NS, in 2016, co-founders Colin Brien and Donald Jacobi have more than 50 years of combined experience in personal and commercial insurance. The firm has a large concentration in commercial insurance and specializes in construction, hospitality, golf courses and realty.

The Jacobi Brien Insurance partnership closed on June 24, 2024, and the firm will be transitioning to become Acera Insurance over the coming months.
