According to Statistics Canada, there were more than 4,600 Canadian businesses in the pet care industry in 2022, such as those served by PROfur: groomers, dog walkers, pet sitters, dog trainers, boarders and daycares, pet therapists and more.
Statistics Canada also reports the number of Canadians registering for hairstyling and esthetician apprenticeships continues to rebound from the pandemic, with registrations in 2022 increasing by nearly 9% over 2020 numbers. Hairstylists and estheticians are just two beauty service providers that PROtique caters to; others include electrologists, laser technicians and more.
The KRS Insurance partnership closed on Jan. 1, 2024, and the firm will be transitioning to become Acera Insurance over the coming months.
