It was a wonderful way to celebrate EnviroCentre’s 20th year and hopefully will be the first of many celebrations promoting sustainability in our city.
We are also proud to present the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre with a donation of $10,000.00 from Intact Insurance. The DSYTC was established in 1993 as a result of the relentless efforts of a small group of people, led by Ottawa restauranteur and philanthropist, Dave Smith. The organization helped hundreds of youth and families each year as a Day Treatment program and in 2010, was chosen to alter its mandate to deliver important residential and aftercare treatment services for youth and families across the province. The DSYTC helps young people (13–21) overcome substance abuse and related challenges so that they and their families can achieve greater health, hope and happiness.
